2013 Tour of Belgium

The Tour of Belgium is a five-day bicycle race which is held annually in Belgium. It was held annually between 1908 and 1981, except during both world wars. Between 1982 and 1990 several of races were not organized and none at all during the decade 1991 to 2001. From 2002 onwards the race has again become an annual fixture on the cycling calendar.

USA Cycling Pro Championships

2013 will feature new faces and new scenery at our Pro Road & Time Trial National Championships. The event moves to the “Scenic City” of Chattanooga after several years in Greenville, S.C. In addition, for the first time pro women will ride for Stars-and-Stripes the same weekend as the men.

Usain Bolt will compete for the third time in a row at Rome’s Golden Gala, the fifth leg of the 2013 IAAF Diamond League. The 2013 Golden Gala edition will be entitled to Pietro Mennea. Mennea competed three times at the Golden Gala, winning twice in the 200m, in 1980 and 1983.

The world’s greatest sports star will run at the Bislett Stadium for the third year in a row. Usain Bolt will return to Oslo, Norway and the ExxonMobil Bislett Games where he will be competing in the 200m. The meeting in Oslo is the sixth of the 14 meets in the world athletics series, the Samsung Diamond League.

Renaud Lavillenie, who recently won his third consecutive title of European indoor champion, has confirmed his presence at the Pontaise stadium. This 38th edition will also feature the best Swiss athletes. Lead by the women’s 4x100m, which broke the national record in 2011, and Irène Pusterla, long jump Swiss record holder, and Lea Sprunger, Olympian and European championships semi finalist in the 200m, and who is from the Lausanne area.

At the end of February, the first corner of the veil was lifted on the line-up for the MEETING AREVA 2013, with the official announcement about Usain Bolt’s presence at the Stade de France. Two other big names topping the bill with the Jamaican headliner: Renaud Lavillenie and Christophe Lemaitre.

The Herculis is an annual track and field meet at Stade Louis II in Fontvieille, Monaco. Previously one of the five IAAF Super Grand Prix events, it is now part of the IAAF Diamond League. This year’s event occurs just thre weeks prior to the World Championships in Moscow.

DN Galan is the first Diamond League meet after the IAAF World Championships in Moscow, which ends Sunday, August 18th. After Usain Bolt signed up to compete at the Belgacom Memorial Van Damme, World Champion, friend and rival Yohan Blake will be joining his compatriot. Yohan Blake is known as one of the highest performing athletes in the Belgacom Memorial Van Damme. His phenomenal 19”26 in the 2011 200m, still the second fastest time ever on the distance, remains a milestone in the history of the meeting and in the memories of the audience.
