Members of Boston’s Emergency Medical Services teams were among the first to respond to the blasts on the finish line of the 2013 Boston Marathon. Joe O’Hare and Robert Haley were at the center of the department’s immediate and well-coordinated efforts, and credit their staff who work and train every day with minimizing the casualties of the tragic event. The entire Boston EMS is committed to doing what they do best to make sure the 2014 Boston Marathon is safe for runners and spectators.
