The 2012-2013 ISU Grand Prix season starts this weekend on Universal Sports. Meryl Davis and Charlie White, the four-time reigning U.S. champions who have won nine straight Grand Prix events including the last three Grand Prix Finals, will be completing along with Anastasia Cannuscio and Colin McManus, who will be making their Grand Prix debut.
Finland Team 1 wins their 7th World title, in the 13 year history, edging out Team Canada 1 by .52 points. Team USA 1 was 3rd and USA 2 was 8th.
After the short program, Team Canada 1 leads over Team USA 1 by .97 points.
The “Queen” is back, despite her 18 month absence from competing, the 2009 World Champ and 2010 Olympic champ Kim Yuna (KOR) is the World champ yet again! With 218.31 points, Yuna won over 2012 champ Carolina Kostner (ITA) by 20.42 and Moa Asada (JPN) came in 3rd.
