Gregory Bauge reclaims Sprint title
Track Cycling World Championship: Gregory Bauge (FRA) reclaims his Sprint title from Jason Kenny (GBR) thanks to some dangerous cycling by Kenny.
Track Cycling World Championship: Gregory Bauge (FRA) reclaims his Sprint title from Jason Kenny (GBR) thanks to some dangerous cycling by Kenny.
In the the gold medal race it was Stefan Botticher (GER) against Denis Dmitriev (RUS). Botticher beat Dmitriev in two sprints to earn his 2nd gold medal of the competition. Botticher took gold in the team sprints earlier this week.
Gillian Carleton (CAN) finished with the best time of 35.510 beating 2nd Place Annette Edmondson (AUS) by .020. American Sarah Hammer went on to win the overall event.
Sarah Hammer finished the competition with 20 points in an emotional victory. Hammer also won gold in the individual pursuit on Wednesday.
