To the cheers of the home crowd, Xiang (CHN) sets a meet record with the win at 12.97, beating former record holder David Oliver (USA) by .16 seconds.
With a final throw of 20.98 meters, Hoffa (USA) takes the first Diamond lead win from Dylan Armstrong (CAN) by .05 meters.
