2011 L.A. Marathon: Geneti sets L.A. record
March 20, 2011: Markos Geneti of Ethiopia sets a Los Angeles Marathon record in winning in his debut at the distance.

Isabellah Andersson (SWE) gets a record 5th win for the home crowd at 2:33:46. Halima Hassen Beriso (ETH) takes 2nd and Frida Lunden (SWE) managed third over Salina Kosgei (KEN).
For the second time (2011, 2013), Shumi Gerbaba Eticha (ETH) gets the win at 2:16:13. Stephen Chelimo (KEN) was 2nd and Endale Tekileab (ETH) took 3rd.
The Stockholm Marathon is an annual marathon arranged in Stockholm, Sweden since 1979. It serves as the Swedish marathon championship race. The Ultimate Guide to International Marathons ranks the Stockholm Marathon as the best marathon in the world.
