Michael Phelps continues to make history being the only one to ever win three straight swimming races in the Olympics (2004, 2008, 2012), after beating teammate Ryan Lochte by .63 seconds.
Clary (USA) won his first Olympic medal and it was gold, setting an Olympic record at 1:53.41, as well as beating Ryosuke Irie (JPN) by .37 seconds. Ryan Lochte (USA) took bronze.
