Dana Vollmer, Jessica Hardy, Megan Romano, and Missy Franklin talk about winning the Women’s 4x100m Medley Relay, as Missy Franklin also becomes the first woman in history to win six gold medals in one championship.
In the Men’s 4×100 Medley Relay, Camille Lacourt, Jeremy Stravius, Giacomo Perez-Dorlona, Frabien Gilot (FRA) get the win as Kevin Cordes (USA) was singled out for starting too soon, disqualifying team USA.
Orienteering, the sport requiring navigational skills using a maps and compass to navigate from point to point in diverse and unfamiliar terrain, makes it’s way to the United States and to Universal Sports. Orienteers will race against the clock and themselves in a series of short, distance and relay events testing their map and compass skills over three days from the 8th of July until the 13th of July.
During the 5000m relay of 2013 Speed Skating Short Track World Championships, Team CAN was given the win after a Korean skater bumped into a Canadian in the 9th lap, nearly causing catastrophe. CAN finished with a time of 6:51.37.
Skiers Asle Tord Gjerdalen, Eldar Roenning, Sjur Roethe, and Petter Northug, represented Team Norway in the 2013 Nordic World Ski Championships in Val de Fiemme. They finished with a total time of 1:41:37.2, with the best time coming from skier Sjur Roethe. Noway has won the event every year since 2001.
