Position Overview: An Account Executive at Universal Sports will be responsible for revenue goals, which include, developing existing business as well as developing new business.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing agencies & clients relationships through day-to-day contact.
  • Look for opportunities to develop solutions for clients, and unsure clients receive superior customer service.
  • Must be able to understand the customer needs, and develop solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Develop accounts from existing linear business to digital business
  • Own, manage, and develop relationships with clients, agencies and advertisers.
  • Must have an understanding of advertising/internet industries and business models.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of sports or digital sales experience
  • 4 year degree from an accredited University

  • You must be willing to take a drug test and submit to a background investigation as part of the selection process

Responsibilities: 

  • The position requires strong technical and organizational skills, and a passion for implementing new technology in a rapidly evolving media universe.
  • Leads product process between design, developers, and editorial departments and vendors. Manages site-wide projects – web, mobile, TV Everywhere.
  • Manages day-to-day responsibility of product operation and coordination of product maintenance and support – external developers, content publishing platform, 3rd party video platform; ad serving.
  • Works closely with network marketing, programming, operations and production groups to tightly integrate and promote network content and initiatives. Daily communication with streaming operations, sales, marketing, distribution, production and editorial teams.
  • Works closely with affiliate and consumer ad sales to service distribution and advertising partners.  Manages implementation and operations of TV Everywhere product and ongoing affiliate obligations.
  • Manages product and content syndication with affiliates and strategic partners.

Qualifications:

  • Must have previous digital product experience with high-traffic, consumer-facing products, including web and mobile. Tangible experience in creating a product vision, defining a strong functional specification, and then bringing that product to market.
  • A minimum of 6 years of web/digital development experience on customer web/digital products; minimum of 2 years of experience managing a staff and development vendors.
  • Expertise with mobile application development (specifically iOS and Android; handset and tablet) and familiarity with intricacies of different platforms and devices.
  • Understanding of the technical architecture of complex media products.
  • Must have demonstrated experience designing simple and intuitive user interfaces.
  • Proven ability to work on a diverse scope of projects requiring detailed analysis, creative/practical problem solving, and sound judgment. Experience managing multiple projects comprising short and long development cycles without supervision.
  • You have to love sports, especially Olympic ones.
  • Knowledge of custom WordPress theme development, architecture and managed hosting
  • Strong analytical skills using Omniture, Google Analytics or related products.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a collaborative team- oriented environment.
  • Ability to self-motivate and work with a high degree of autonomy.

Position Overview: The Director, Distribution – National Accounts, will be responsible for growing the Universal Sports Network subscriber base and affiliate revenue across all platforms.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work vigilantly with potential national affiliates who do not carry USN and present the network in a professional, compelling manner to close affiliate deals.
  • The Director will be responsible for working closely with Affiliate Marketing and Promotions to facilitate all Affiliate marketing, TVE, promotional needs.
  • This position will include interfacing with the Affiliate Finance group for forecasting, revenue and budgeting purposes.
  • Gather competitive intelligence and current marketplace information, spot trends, and analyze all relevant research data.
  • Build internal relationships and collaborate with other company executives to advance common goals.

Qualifications:

  • 10 years of affiliate distribution and marketing at a cable network.
  • Minimum undergraduate degree in business management, ideally with focus on cable, media and entertainment, or relevant field.  MBA Preferred
  • Strong knowledge of online and digital media industry, specifically emerging technologies, functionalities, and methods of presenting content.
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with television industry, including broadcast, cable, satellite, IPTV, and other market segments.
  • Working knowledge of and a strong interest in international sports.

Position: Writer / Producer

Position Overview:
The Writer / Producer is responsible for coming up with original concepts and designs, and hands on writing and producing of commercial spots that promote events on Universal Sports Network. He or she, works very closely with the Director of Marketing and On Air Promos. He or she, will work with a group of creative collaborators typically comprised of an editor, a sound mixer, and Graphic Artists.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Director of Marketing / On Air Promos, Editors, Designers and network colleagues to build and maintain a highly functional creative department.
  • Concept, develop and produce breakthrough creative promos, advertising and promotional content.
  • Work closely with On Air Design department to convey graphics needs for projects.
  • Manage multiple creative assignments in a hands on fashion at all stages of development, from project start through post.
  • Research new promo techniques, new and current standards in music, editorial, storytelling, graphic design and marketing.
  • Create creative pitch decks, boards and reference frames.
  • Screen and log show content.
  • Source footage, music, graphics, packaging, imagery and all other creative elements.

Qualifications:

UNIVERSAL SPORTS NETWORK is currently looking for a Freelance On Air Promotions AVID Editor for their Denver Office. This person should have a flair for sports television storytelling. They must me capable of creating 30 second promos with different versions of each spot. (30’s, 20’s 10’s) Editors should also be capable of editing short teases as well as long format shows. They must be able to work in a Post Production environment with tight deadlines and maintain high quality. These Editors must be team players and be able to work well in a Producer/Editor atmosphere. They also need to be very creative and have a strong technical background.

Responsibilities:
• AVID HD Editing using Interplay Software with ISIS storage.
• Color correction experience with AVID Color Correction Tool
• Digitizing, Up resolution, and Digital Cut to tape and/or transfer processes.
• Editing with layers, matte keys, audio sweetening and other layer effects/tools including 3rd party plug ins with speed and efficiency for live broadcasts.
• Working knowledge of AVID Interplay
• Troubleshooting media processes & File transfer using AVID
• XDCAM, HDCAM, DVCPro HD, DNX145 and D5 deck knowledge
• Router knowledge – moving media to and from sources and playback methods.
