Universal Sports Network had been offered as a free over-the-air “multicast” service that was distributed as a digital sub-channel of local stations in markets around the country since 2008. Sports content is expensive and in order to sustain our network long term, it is imperative that we switch to the business model of a cable, satellite and telco offering so we can continue to provide the world class programming our fans have been accustomed to.
Where can I find Universal Sports Network?
Universal Sports Network is currently only available on DIRECTV, DISH and several additional providers. We are presently in advanced negotiations with many other cable, satellite and telco television providers throughout the country and expect to confirm additional distribution soon. NBC Sports Network is not the same as Universal Sports Network. Rather, NBC Sports Network was previously called Versus and was recently rebranded as NBC Sports Network. To have access to Olympic-related programming such as Alpine World Cup Skiing, cycling, Rugby 7’s and many other sports, you should call 1-800-55-GET-US and go to http://www.IWantUniversalSports.com to demand access to Universal Sports Network from your television provider.

If you were a premium subscriber for any event packages prior to April 1, 2012, your video “library” and its archived contents are no longer available. We apologize for any inconvenience, but we hope you will enjoy our new site and its higher-quality video experience — including the ability to watch highlights on your mobile devices. Going forward, you can identify paid/premium video content with a “lock” icon; once you have purchased access to that related content, the “lock” icon will be removed. Why do I have to login to watch some video?
Premium content, such as live events, require users to login to view the content. You need to login by selecting the SIGN-IN WITH CABLE/SAT PROVIDER button in the site header to determine if your provider has made online authentication available on Universal Sports.
