Going into his 2nd run, Tyler Nicholson (CAN) was determined to beat his first round score of 18.50. Nicholson ran into trouble as he lost control on a jump causing him to land hard on his side.

2013 FIS Snowboarding World Cup: Men’s Slopestyle: Niklas Mattsson crashes

Niklas Mattsson (SWE) took a hard crash in his 1st run, slamming his helmet against the snow. Mattsson was able to ride away but still looked a bit shaken up as he did not compete in run 2. .

2013 FIS Snowboarding World Cup: Men’s Slopestyle: Yuuki Kadono becomes champ

Yuuki Kadono (JPN) dominated the last Slopstyle of the season, finishing with scores of 88 and 94. Kadono finished his winning season with 1400 WC points. Sven Thorgen finished 2nd with 1250.

2013 FIS Snowboarding World Cup: Men’s Slopestyle: Eric Beauchemin top American

Eric Beauchemin (USA) finished the last Slopestyle of the season with a best score of 30, placing him 15th in the event. Beauchemin finished 10th in the overall standing.

With the final Snowboard Parallel Giant Slalom cancelled, Patrizia Kummer (SUI) misses her chance to win that Globe, but she does walk off with the overall World Cup title.

Michela Moiloli (ITA) beat out all the competition of the day earning 1000 points. Moiloli was 9th in her previous Snowboardcross at Blue Mountain.

2013 FIS Snowboarding World Cup: Sochi: Women’s Snowboardcross: Faye Gulini gets 2nd in Small Final

Faye Gulini (USA) was the top american of the day finishing with 320 points. Gulini finished 10th in her previous Snowboardcross at Blue Mountian.

2013 FIS Snowboarding World Cup: Sochi: Men’s Snowboardcross: Haemmerle wins

In a dramatic race with a crash at the finish, Alessandro Haemmerle (AUT) emerged with the win earning 1,000. American Alex Deibold was close behind in 2nd place.

2013 FIS Snowboarding Halfpipe Championship: Podladtchikov wins

Iouri Podladtchikov (SUI) scores a 94.25 in his second run to get the win by .5 points, an improvement from his 2nd place finish last time.

2013 FIS Snowboarding Halfpipe Championship: Hiraoka 2nd

Although he improved with each run, Taku Hiraoka (JPN) fell .5 points short of victory, settling for silver.

2013 FIS Snowboarding Halfpipe Championship: Arielle Gold wins

Arielle Gold (USA) wins the gold, the first American to win the Halfpipe championship since Kim Stacey in 1999.

2013 FIS Snowboarding Halfpipe Championship: Shaw 12th

As the lone American in the final, Spencer Shaw had two weak runs and finishes 12th, 65.25 points off the podium.

2013 FIS Snowboarding Halfpipe Championship: Crawford 2nd

Holly Crawford (AUS) the defending champ takes Silver this year, with 77.25 in her second run, 1.75 points behind.

2013 FIS Snowboarding Halfpipe Championship: Rodriguez 3rd

Sophie Rodriguez (FRA) takes 3rd, scoring 72.50 on her first Halfpipe run, out of first by 6.5.

2013 FIS Snowboarding Big Air Championship: Smits crashes

Seppe Smits (BEL) took a hard fall in his 2nd run after being one of the leaders in the events. As the weather conditions picked up, It was easy for anyone to make a mistake.

2013 FIS Snowboarding Big Air Championship: Roope Tonteri wins

After falling in the first run, Roope Tonteri (FIN) saved his best for last as he finished with a total score of 188.50 in his last two runs. Tonteri also won gold in the slope style yesterday.

2013 FIS Snowboarding Big Air Championship: Seppe Smits gets 3rd

Seppe Smits (BEL) was in second after the first run, but took a hard fall in his second run and made a costly mistake in his third run. He finished with a score of 149.50.

2013 FIS Snowboarding Big Air Championship: Mattsson gets 2nd

Niklas Mattsson (SWE) finished with a total score of 177.75, losing to Tonteri by 10.75 points. Although the two best runs were selected, Mattsson was one of the few to land all three of his tricks.
