Niklas Mattsson (SWE) took a hard crash in his 1st run, slamming his helmet against the snow. Mattsson was able to ride away but still looked a bit shaken up as he did not compete in run 2. .

2013 FIS Snowboarding World Cup: Men’s Slopestyle: Yuuki Kadono becomes champ

Yuuki Kadono (JPN) dominated the last Slopstyle of the season, finishing with scores of 88 and 94. Kadono finished his winning season with 1400 WC points. Sven Thorgen finished 2nd with 1250.

Eric Beauchemin (USA) finished the last Slopestyle of the season with a best score of 30, placing him 15th in the event. Beauchemin finished 10th in the overall standing.

In a dramatic race with a crash at the finish, Alessandro Haemmerle (AUT) emerged with the win earning 1,000. American Alex Deibold was close behind in 2nd place.

Iouri Podladtchikov (SUI) scores a 94.25 in his second run to get the win by .5 points, an improvement from his 2nd place finish last time.

Although he improved with each run, Taku Hiraoka (JPN) fell .5 points short of victory, settling for silver.

Arielle Gold (USA) wins the gold, the first American to win the Halfpipe championship since Kim Stacey in 1999.
