This event is also a qualifying event for the 2014 Winter Olympics, awarding points to countries based on performance at the worlds.
Italy looked like they had no chance of winning until they managed to get the only try of the entire game. ITA would go on to lose 18-11.
Team England defeated team Italy, 18 to 11. England led after the first half, 12-0 and managed to hold off a strong Italian surge in the second half. Team England remains undefeated and leads in the tournament.
It was a battle of penalty kicks until early in the second half when Wales managed two tries for the win 26-9, improving to 2-1, while Italy drops to 1-2.
France tied the game with this amazing try from Benjamin Fall. This was Fall’s third try in International Rugby.
In a battle that went down to the final seconds, ITA walked away victorious over FRA with a final score of 23-18. This is only Italy’s third win against France in the history of the tournament.
