Lucas Carr is proud to be Boston born and bred, and ran the 2013 Boston Marathon to benefit the Boston Bruins Foundation. He had just crossed the finish line when the bombings happened. The former Army Ranger, who joined the armed forces following 9/11, was reminded of a Middle East war zone and quickly sprang into action applying tourniquets to the injured. Lucas knows the importance of the Boston Marathon to the entire city, and is uplifted by the fact that the community is focused on making the 2014 race greater than ever.
