Asbel Kiprop anchored the Kenyans as they break the five year old world record by 14.01 seconds with a new time of 14:22.22. Manzano (USA) held off Ethiopia for 2nd place, 28.58 seconds back.

In the first ever World Relays, Kenya took the lead in the first leg and just it crushed the rest of the way, lapping Romania and setting a new World Record at 16:33.58, Team USA was second 21.75 seconds behind.

2014 IAAF World Relays: USA wins Women’s 4x100m

In the first ever World Relays, as Team Jamaica suffer a bad hand off, Team USA (Tianna Bartoletta, Alex Anderson, Jeneba Tarmoh, and Lakeisha Lawson) cruise perfectly to victory at 41.88 seconds, beating their Jamaican rivals by .40 seconds.
