The “Flüela-slope”, which is cut out for racing events, was established in the course of the Davos cross-country slopes extension. “Davos Nordic” – as the international cross-country skiing days are now called – has emerged as a top event.
The Davos Nordic Cross Country stadium is situated centrally in Davos Dorf, within walking distance to hotels, restaurants and public transport. The well-prepared skiing tracks start from Bünda and reach far into the Flüela side valley.

Alexey Poltoranin (KAZ) was the fastest man out of the gate and the first to finish. His final time was 3:25.66. Poltoranin was 28th in his previous sprint at Sochi.
Justyna Kowalczyk (POL) took an early lead and never looked back, finishing with a time of 3:56.06, beating 2nd place skier Marit Bjoergen by 2.85 seconds.
