Kathrin Zettel (AUT) moved up from third following run one for a second place finish, .22 seconds behind Tina Maze. Zettel also moved up to third in the World Cup point standings.
Tina Maze (SLO) continues her banner year with her fourth consecutive Giant Slalom win, making it five total wins this season for the World Cup points leader.
Local favorite Tessa Worley was third, 0.40 behind Austria’s Kathrin Zettel. This was Worley’s (FRA) second podium of the season.
With Lindsey Vonn skiing out, Julia Mancuso leads Team USA with a 6th place finish, 2.33 seconds out of first.
A rough weekend for Lindsey Vonn (USA) continued as she skied out during her first run in Courchevel. Vonn dropped to 4th in the World Cup standings, over 300 hundred points behind the leader Tina Maze (SLO).
For the third consecutive year, the resort of Courchevel will host a women’s alpine skiing World Cup event.
