The World Cup is a four-day elite-level synchronized swimming competition held every four years with Solo, Duet, Team (divided into Technical and Free Routines) and Free Combination on the program. Each Member Federation may enter no more than one swimmer or team per event, with a maximum of 12 athletes. The Federation with the highest sum of all final results from the various events is the World Cup winner.

Release The Beast: Hill Sprints for Technique

This week, Brooks Beasts’ coach Danny Mackey has the team perform hill sprints. Hill sprints are used as a method to increase strength with less fatigue, while focusing on running technique. Running hill intervals is also helpful in forcing the runner’s sprint mechanics turn on in full gear.

Joachim Puchner (AUT) and Werner Heel (ITA) shared the same bad luck as both skiers lost their left ski on the same turn. The turn seemed to have a bump in it that both were unable to see and ultimately causing them to crash. Both skiers walked away.
