Two months after suffering a severed spine in an all-terrain vehicle accident, gold-medal winning Olympic swimmer Amy Van Dyken tweeted that she is being released from a Colorado hospital. She was recovering at Craig Hospital, which specializes in spinal cord injury rehabilitation.
The 41-year-old has consistently been updating on her fans on social media about her recovery process. She was the first American female athlete ever to win four gold medals in a single Olympics, doing so in the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta.
