Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn may never play in a tennis Grand Slam, but she did get to play tennis in a Glacier Slam against superstar Roger Federer. Vonn and Federer played on a makeshift court on a glacier at an altitude of 3,475 meters.
The match took place in Jungfraujoch, Switzerland, for a new promotion by Lindt Chocolate. Lindt released this video a few days ago introducing the challenge between the two athletes.
Each of the athletes has an Olympic gold medal. Federer won his in 2008 playing doubles in Beijing, while Vonn won hers in the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics in the women’s downhill competition.
