HUNTSVILLE, Texas – The U.S. Women’s National Team camp for June, which will be led by National Team Coordinator Martha Karolyi, begins on Monday, June 2, at the USA Gymnastics National Team Training Center at the Karolyi Ranch, an official U.S. Olympic training site, near Huntsville, Texas.

This will be the first camp that Gabby Douglas attends since winning two gold medals at the 2012 Olympic Games in London for her performances in the individual all-around and team all-around events. She said that she would return for the 2014 U.S. Championships, which take place in Pittsburgh in August.

Douglas is not the only member of the Fierce Five, the U.S.’s gold-winning women’s gymnastic team in 2012, that will appear at the camp. Kyla Ross has been the only Fierce Five gymnast that has been actively competing this past season. Ross recently finished in second place in the all-around at the Pacific Rim Championships this April.

Other gymnasts training at the camp include Simone Biles, the 2013 world all-around champion, and McKenna Kelley.

Kelley is the daughter of Olympic gold medalist Mary Lou Retton.

The camp will go on for five days.
