Olympic Champion Mikaela Shiffrin Returns to World Cup

American Mikaela Shiffrin, the youngest woman to win an Olympic slalom gold medal, will race in the FIS Alpine World Cup for the first time since the Winter Games Thursday at 10 AM ET LIVE  in the women’s giant slalom from Are, Sweden.

Fellow Olympic medalist Julia Mancuso (USA) will also compete in the women’s giant slalom.

In the men’s competition, Americans Ted Ligety and Bode Miller will headline the giant slalom from Kranjska Gora, Slovenia Saturday at 11 AM ET.

Heading into the weekend, Aksel Lund Svindal (NOR) leads the men’s overall standings, while Maria Hoefl-Riesch (GER) leads the ladies’ standings.
