Is the Vuelta a España available for purchase/PPV Online?
Universal Sports will air the Vuelta a España both on-air and online. However, the event will not be available for purchase or PPV online, but will be available online for free through authentication to users who verify their TV provider accounts on our website. Authentication, or verification, is the ability to login to our website using your current satellite or cable provider account to access live streaming content and online video on demand. As always, anyone who visits our website can enjoy video highlights, photos and breaking news for free.
Why can’t I buy the Vuelta a España?
On July 27, 2012, our website became fully authenticated which is a necessary measure in our efforts to continue to provide, and expand upon, the world-class sports content you have come to expect from Universal Sports. All online live events and replays on demand are available exclusively to satellite and cable customers who have Universal Sports as part of their television package. Individual long-form events and sport packages are no longer offered for sale online, but will be free to users who verify their subscriptions on our website. Authentication, or verification, is the ability to login to our website using your current satellite or cable provider account to access live streaming content and online video on demand. There is no additional charge for this service and a customer’s subscription will not be affected. As always, anyone who visits our website can enjoy video highlights, photos and breaking news for free.
What will happen to the full event replays that I have already purchased?
Any full event replays that you purchased between April 1, 2012 and July 27, 2012 will continue to be made available to you.
What can I do to get coverage of this content either online or on-air?

Running from Saturday, August 18th to Sunday, September 9, 2012, the 67th Vuelta a España will be made up of 21 stages and will cover a total distance of 3,300 kilometers. These stages have the following profiles: 6 flat stages, 13 mountain stages, 1 team time-trial stage, and 1 individual time-trial stage.
Distinctive aspects of the race: 6 summit finishes, 2 rest days, 16 km team time-trial, 40 km individual time-trial stage, and 37 mountain passes and hills
